Faith Engelkens

Faith grew up in the Forreston and Bailyville area and loves giving back to the community through the art of dance. She began her dance training in ballet and modern at Studio 121 in the summer of 2002 with the late Jill Johnson, and then Sarah Long. Faith has also performed in numerous ballet productions including: Madeline, Little Women, Peter and the Wolf, The Enchanted Attic, Alice in Wonderland and The Nutcracker.

From 2006 to present at S&R Dance under the direction of Nikki Spinden-Meagher and Janelle VanWassenhove, she has studied many styles of dance as a recreational dancer, competitive team dancer/soloist and currently as an adult recrational tap, jazz and hip hop dancer. Faith assists dance instructors and teaches ballet, modern, pointe, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical and contemporary.

Her choreographic works have been showcased at several ballet stage performances and solo dance competitions. Additionally, Faith has trained with dance professinals via virtual classes and at the Millennium Dance Complex in LA, NUVO Dance Convention in Chicago and Hollywood Connection in Chicago and Anaheim, California.

Faith loves sharing her passion for dance with her students and watching them become more self-confident and to achieve their goals as both dancers and individuals.
